Field Marshal Asim Munir celebrates Eid-ul-Adha with troops at LoC

MUZAFFARABAD: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, on the eve of Eid-ul-Adha, visited forward posts on the Line of Control (LoC), and he spent the day with troops deployed at the frontline, said the militarys media wing on Saturday.

Eid prayers were offered by the army chief along with soldiers and special prayers for Pakistans prosperity as well as for the martyrs high status, which he led later.

He praised the troops for their professionalism, high morale, and unflinching dedication to serve and defend the country.

COAS appreciated the sacrifice of soldiers, especially for missing Eid with their families while fulfilling their national obligation. He also commended formations for their outstanding performance in counter-terror operations, such as Operation Bunyan Marsous, and honored martyrs and veterans for their sacrifices.

The COAS was pleased with Pakistans quick reaction to Indian ceasefire breaches and reiterated the militarys willingness to respond to any aggression.

He reiterated full support from Pakistan to the Kashmiri struggle against Indian occupation and reiterated that the Kashmir issue must be settled by UN Security Council resolutions.

On arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was greeted by the Rawalpindi Corps Commander.
