ISLAMABAD: The First round of talks concluded on the hotline between the Director General Military Operations of Pakistan and India after the ceasefire on Monday, according to sources.

Prior to this, the communication between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of Pakistan and India on Monday has been postponed, with no official reason provided, according to Indian news channel Zee News.

The contact was scheduled at noon, 1200pm Pakistan standard time, but it is now expected to take place later this evening.

According to Indian Media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has chaired a high-level meeting with their military leadership before the contact between the DGMOs.

The talks between both the DGMOs will be about the ceasefire understanding between the two countries, after US President Donald Trump announced the end of border tension.

Earlier, addressing the press briefing, the DG ISPR said that in a powerful and coordinated response to Indian aggression, Pakistan has carried out successful military operations targeting 26 key Indian military positions.

The spokesperson confirmed that Indian military targets were targeted in Suratgarh, Sirsa, Bhuj, Nalia, Adampur, Awantipora, Udhampur, Pathankot, Bathinda, Barnala, Halwara, Srinagar, Jammu, Mamoon and Ambala.

Two S-400 battery systems were specifically targeted and successfully engaged in Adampur and Bhuj. BrahMos missile storage facilities in Beas and Nagrota were also destroyed.

The strikes were carried out using Fateh Guided Missiles I and II, with extreme precision to avoid civilian casualties.

The DG ISPR reiterated three promises made to the nation: Pakistan’s response would be strong, the timing and method would be chosen independently, and that the global media, not just the Indian media, would take notice of the response.
