LAHORE: Allama Iqbal Airport has successfully restored its Integrated Baggage Management System (IBMS) to full functionality and announced the resumption of international flights.

The restoration of the IBMS system is a testimony to the resilience and prompt response of the airport authorities in overcoming the challenges posed by the fire incident.

Despite the disruption caused by the fire, the airport staff worked tirelessly to repair the damage and restore the necessary infrastructure, ensuring minimal disruption to passenger services.

According to the airport administration, both international flights have already landed safely at Lahore airport.

The IBMS system is now fully functional for both incoming and outgoing international flights, so passengers can expect efficient handling of luggage and streamlining of the airport process.

It may be recalled that all international flights were suspended due to the fire at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, which damaged the immigration system.

According to the CAA, international flight operations will remain suspended until the system is fully functional.

According to the NOTAM issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), all 30 international flights have been canceled.

However, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has clarified that domestic and cargo flights will continue to operate at Lahore airport.

According to initial reports, the immigration system at the airport was partially damaged by the fire. Sources say that the immigration process has stopped.

The fire brigade and rescue 1122 reached the airport to control the fire. Airport officials said the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
