ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the end of the government’s fuel saving and austerity measures.
According to the details, the Cabinet Division has issued a notification to end the federal government’s fuel saving and austerity measures.
Friday holiday has been ended, while the full facility of government petrol has been restored, and the measure to close 60 percent of government vehicles has also been withdrawn.
The notification states that the working hours regarding the closure of markets implemented from June 3 and 10 will remain in place.
Shops, markets, shopping malls and bazaars will close at 9 pm, wedding halls and event centers will close at 10 pm.
Restaurants, cafes and food outlets will close at 11 pm, home delivery and takeaway will be exempted.
According to the notification, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, bakeries, tandoors, milk shops are exempted from the working hours restriction, petrol, CNG pumps, electric vehicles, charging stations will also be exempted from the restriction.
Gyms, sports facilities, IT companies, call centers will also be exempted from the working hours restriction. It should be noted that other austerity measures implemented before March 9, 2026 will also remain in effect.
