LONDON (Monitoring Desk) – Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has agreed to make Chief Minister Punjab from Tareen Group instead of Speaker Punjab Assembly Pervez Elahi, while more than 100 members from the government have agreed to support Tarin Group.
A tweet from a journalist close to the Sharif family from London on Monday claimed that a meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Jahangir Tareen had been arranged soon and was expected in the next 48 hours.
According to the claim made in the tweet, Nawaz Sharif did not agree to make Pervez Elahi the Chief Minister of Punjab, but now he is ready to make the Chief Minister of Punjab from the Tareen group. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has dropped out of the race for the Chief Ministership of Punjab and along with Buzdar, Pervez Elahi has also been discharged.
Aleem Khan and Jahangir Tareen are in the driving position and now Jahangir Tareen Group is ready to make Punjab Chief Minister. It has also been claimed that more than 100 government members of the Punjab Assembly are ready to be part of the rebel group and this group could emerge at any time. According to a journalist close to the Sharif family, it has been claimed that Nawaz Sharif never offered to make Pervez Elahi the Chief Minister of Punjab. False news is being spread in the media in this regard.
