ISLAMABAD: In view of the increase in gas demand during the winter, the Sui Southern Gas Company has suspended gas supply to industrial consumers and CNG stations for 48 hours, so that domestic and commercial consumers can be ensured availability of gas with better pressure.
According to media reports, the SSGC said that gas supply to all industrial consumers, including captive power plants, and all CNG stations, including stations running on RLNG, will remain suspended from 8 am today, Saturday, to 8 am on Monday, January 26.
According to the company, this step has been taken to protect domestic and commercial consumers from gas shortage during the winter and to maintain better pressure in the lines.
The SSGC has said that domestic consumers facing low pressure can register their complaints on the 24-hour active helpline 1199.
The SSGC further clarified that under the usual gas load management plan, gas supply to domestic and commercial consumers will also remain suspended from 10 pm to 5 am daily.
