KARACHI: The German Consulate in Karachi has revised the passport collection hours for Pakistani applicants during Ramadan.

According to an official statement, passport collection will be available from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Thursday, throughout the holy month. The regular schedule will resume after Eid al-Fitr, which is expected to be around March 31, 2025.

This adjustment is in line with broader policy changes implemented in the public and private sectors in Pakistan during Ramadan, ensuring the convenience of applicants.

US Embassy Updates Visa Appointment System

Meanwhile, the US Embassy has made changes to its online visa appointment system. Under the new procedure, applicants will first have to create a profile before scheduling their visa appointments.

The announcement is in line with reports that the Trump administration is considering imposing strict travel restrictions on several countries, including Pakistan. While an official statement is expected next week, analysts speculate that the White House could impose stricter entry requirements for Pakistani citizens applying for US visas.

Stay tuned for more updates as policy changes emerge.
