Good news for people wanting to get driving license

PESHAWAR: A digitalized driving license branch equipped with the latest facilities was inaugurated in Peshawar.
Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed inaugurated a fully digitalized driving license branch equipped with the latest facilities at Traffic Headquarters Peshawar.

This project has been launched to provide all services to the citizens under one roof under the One Window Operation. Upon arrival at Traffic Lines Gulbahar, a well-equipped contingent of City Traffic Police saluted the IGP.

He paid homage at the Martyrs’ Memorial and offered a floral wreath before reciting Fateha. Chief Traffic Officer Zahidullah gave a detailed briefing to the IGP on the new digital system and procedures.

The IGP inspected various sections and counters of the branch where citizens will be provided with new licenses, renewals, and other related services.

Speaking on the occasion, IGP Zulfiqar Hameed said that making the process of issuing licenses easy, fast, and transparent is the top priority of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police.

Our mission is to encourage responsible law-abiding drivers and ensure safety on the roads. The use of modern technology will reduce human intervention, and citizens will not have to stand in queues.

With the establishment of this digitalized branch, citizens of Peshawar will no longer have to visit different offices for all the stages related to licenses (test, fee payment and photo, etc.), all the stages will be completed in one building.
