Govt announces Eid-ul-Fitr holidays

ISLAMABAD: In a groundbreaking move, the government of Pakistan has announced official holidays of Eid. The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has announced Eid-ul-Fitr holidays across Pakistan.

According to the official notification, Pakistan will observe public holidays on 20th and 21st March, 2026.

Earlier, the government of Sindh announced a public holiday on 23rd March on Pakistan Resolution Day. The Sindh government has issued a notification of a public holiday across the province on March 23, Pakistan Day.

According to the notification, government offices, educational institutions, and other government departments will remain closed on that day.
