Govt announces holiday on October 1

RAHIM YAR KHAN: The district administration declared a local holiday in honor of the mystic and well-known Sufi poet Hazrat Khawaja Ghulam Farid (R.A.) on October 1st.

Deputy Commissioner Khurram Pervez issued an official notification, announcing that all district government offices will be closed on October 1.

Thousands of devotees from all across the nation attend spiritual meetings and commemorative activities in honor of Urs of Khawaja Ghulam Farid, which is celebrated with significant devotion.

Earlier, A local holiday was declared in Sheikhupura on the occasion of the 228th Urs of renowned Sufi poet Syed Waris Shah.

Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth issued a notification of a local holiday on September 24.

The notification issued by DC Sheikhupura states that a local holiday will be observed in Sheikhupura on September 24 on the occasion of the Urs of the great Sufi poet Syed Waris Shah.

Government and semi-government offices across the district will remain closed on Wednesday, September 24.
