Govt announces over 2000 jobs for youth

PESHWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced new jobs for low-educated unemployed people in the province.

As per reports, the federal government has approved hiring 2,800 chowkidars for schools in 28 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The provincial Finance Department has confirmed that approval has been given to fill vacant positions in schools. The hiring of all such personnel, it is reported, is going through an open advertisement and merit process.

The total number of vacancies sanctioned for the Mansehra district is the highest, which is 377. The number sanctioned for Bannu is 263, and that sanctioned for Mardan is 256.

In Peshawar, 162 chowkidar posts will be recruited. Laki Marwat will get 160, while Abbottabad will receive 154 in the recruitment scheme.
