ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has announced an increase in financial assistance for deserving women on the occasion of Ramadan.
According to a private TV report, BISP has increased the quarterly installment by Rs 1,000. In this regard, officials say that the quarterly financial assistance, which was earlier Rs 13,500, has now been increased to Rs 14,500.
This decision aims to provide additional support to low-income families in view of inflation so that they can meet their basic needs.
According to officials, under the same package, the Benazir Educational Scholarships and Benazir Development Program scholarships have also been increased by Rs 500, which will help the beneficiary families in their children’s education and nutritional needs.
Meanwhile, a live e-court was held at BISP headquarters in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Chairperson Rubina Khalid, in which the complaints and problems of the deserving ones were heard.
On this occasion, the Chairperson directed the deserving women who have not received a free SIM for the digital wallet to immediately contact the nearest BISP office so that the payment system can be made more transparent and easier.
She said that the government is continuing to take steps to provide decent and timely financial assistance to deserving families.
Earlier, the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) published its updated complaint process, which starts from today, when beneficiaries should report any unauthorized stipend deductions through official channels.
