Islamabad: Higher Education Commission (HEC) degree attestation is mandatory for Pakistani citizens who intend to go abroad for higher education or employment.

The HEC has launched an online system for attestation of education degrees in order to provide hassle-free services to the applicants.

Online Application System:
HEC has revolutionized the degree attestation process by launching an efficient online system, accessible through the web link https://eservices.hec.gov.pk. This initiative aims to provide hassle-free services to applicants, eliminating the need for lengthy paperwork and physical visits.

Initial Examination:
Upon completion of the online application, applicants undergo a provisional scrutiny process. If successful, HEC notifies applicants via SMS and email, prompting them to either schedule a walk-in appointment for urgent applications or send their documents through authorized courier services for normal applications.

Two Modes of Attestation:
HEC offers two convenient modes for degree attestation:

  1. Walk-in Mode (Urgent Applications): Applicants can personally submit their documents or authorize a representative to do so on their behalf.
  2. Authorized Courier Service Mode (Normal Applications): Applicants, both residing in Pakistan and abroad, can utilize designated courier services for document submission and attestation.

Updated Fee Structure:
HEC has also revised its fee structure for degree attestation, effective February 2024:

  • Normal Fee: Rs1,000 for each original document and Rs700 for each photocopy.
  • Urgent Service Fee: In addition to the attestation fee, applicants opting for urgent attestation service will pay an extra Rs3,000 per application.

Online Payment System:
Applicants can conveniently pay the attestation fee online through 1-link, introduced by HEC since August 5, 2023. Following payment, applicants verify the transaction in their online profiles, ensuring a transparent and efficient process.
