ISLAMABAD: The federal government has finally revealed the mechanism for its long-awaited fuel subsidy for vehicle owners amid soaring petrol prices.
The sources have received information that only motorcycle riders currently qualify for the subsidy, while the authorities are still developing truck and transport bus procedures.
Sources confirmed that the subsidy will be transferred directly to registered owners’ bank accounts via digital wallets, which restrict eligibility to vehicles that the owner officially registered in their name.
The government of Pakistan has launched a petrol subsidy app to address the rising prices of petrol. Its main goal is to provide fuel relief to people who struggle with daily travel expenses.
Not everyone can apply. The government focuses on deserving people.
The targeted relief program exists to provide financial support for daily commuters and transportation businesses, and small farmers who face financial difficulties because of rising fuel expenses.
