ISLAMABAD: The district administration announced the issuance of E-Tag stickers for vehicles, commencing from November 18.
Starting from that date, residents will be able to head out to various points established within the city and collect their E-Tag stickers. The stickers will be issued from specified and announced locations.
The vehicle owners will have to provide the vehicle’s registration card to collect the E-Tag. The stickers will be available for all vehicles, including those registered in Islamabad and other provinces.
The district administration has made it clear that the stickers will only be issued at approved points.
The decision comes at a time when a suicide blast outside the G-11 District Court shook the federal capital a few days ago. Twelve people were killed and dozens injured in the attack.
A cell of terrorists has been arrested after the blast, including four facilitators of the suicide attack.
After the recent suicide attack in Islamabad, not only has the security of courts, government offices and important installations been increased, but also checking has been tightened at entry points, checkpoints and highways.
