ISLAMABAD: Khawar Maneka, the ex-spouse of Bushra Bibi, was attacked by PTI’s lawyers in the premises of the District and Sessions Court Islamabad on Wednesday during the iddat case.

The complainant in the case Kahwar Maneka was assaulted outside the court after the Islamabad district and sessions court did not announce its already reserved verdict in the iddat case against PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi.

The videos went viral on social media showing the lawyers hurling bottles at Khawar Maneka over using abusive language against the party founder and his wife. He can be seen falling as people pull the attackers off of him.

Last week, the court reserved the verdict on appeals filed by Imran Khan and his wife against their conviction in the iddat or illegal nikah case.

District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumand sought a transfer of the case and wrote a letter to the Islamabad High Court in this regard and decided against announcing the judgment today as complainant Khawar Manika expressed no confidence in him.
