ISLAMABAD: Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police Dr Akbar Nasir left his charge and left for London last night, sources revealed.
Sources further said that IG Islamabad left Pakistan last night at 1 AM as he filed a leave application for the 9 days from 4 August (Today), while the sources revealed that he wants leave extension for one-year after the dissolution of the National Assembly (NA).
After leaving the charge of Dr Akbar Nasir, DIG Headquarter Awais Ahmad took the charge as acting IG of Islamabad Police.

While when contacted by the IG Office and DIG Headquarter, they avoided any comment regarding this matter.
