Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan boycotted the proceedings through video link in the GHQ attack case.

The GHQ attack case was heard in the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court, in which Imran Khan was present in the court through video link.

Before the hearing, Imran Khan was sent a message 3 times to appear via video link. When contacted for the first time at 10:30 am, the court was told that he would appear via video link at 11 am.

At 11:25 am, he appeared via video link. During the hearing, defense lawyer Faisal Malik requested to speak to Imran Khan alone.

On this occasion, the lawyers told Imran Khan that the video link presentation is being challenged in the High Court.

What are your instructions on this notification, asked his counsel, to which Imran Khan asked the lawyers to boycott the court proceedings.

After Imran Khan’s instructions, the lawyers left the court, but the court continued the hearing and started recording the statements of the witnesses.

During the hearing, the court recorded the testimony of two prosecution witnesses, in which Sub-Inspector Saleem Qureshi and Sub-Inspector Manzoor Shahzad recorded their statements, while 5 USBs containing video clips from both the witnesses were presented in the court.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the May 9 GHQ attack case until September 23.
