Imran Khan rejects proposal for talks with government again

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s latest statement on “X” has effectively rejected Mehmood Khan Achakzai’s proposal for talks again.

According to media, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as saying that meaningful talks with PTI are not possible without an expression of regret or apology for the May 9 incidents and Imran Khan and the party’s anti-military campaign on social media.

On the other hand, PTI Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram said that since the policy of the protest movement has come directly from Imran Khan, it will be implemented.

He said that Mehmood Khan Achakzai can continue his political activities including talks, but the PTI leadership is bound by Imran Khan’s latest instructions.

Sheikh Waqas said that Imran Khan has instructed the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to prepare for the protest movement for the rule of law and supremacy of the constitution.
