Imran Khan unfazed by verdict, orders high court appeal

ISLAMABAD: The first reaction of PTI founder Imran Khan after hearing the sentence has come to light.

Founder PTI’s lawyer Barrister Salman Safdar has said that the founder PTI was still smiling today and was not at all surprised by the verdict. He has directed that an appeal be filed in the High Court for him and Bushra Bibi.

While talking to the media near Adiala Jail, he said that the entire legal team was informed at 8 pm last night that the cases would be processed at 9 am tomorrow. We were not expecting this.

Barrister Salman Safdar said that on October 16, the judge adjourned the case, today’s date was set for arguments, the arguments were to be completed, not the verdict.

The lawyer said that the judge did an illegal thing, the verdict was pronounced in the absence of the lawyer, the judge had written a verdict based on 59 pages, the written verdict was pronounced on all the patterns.

He said that Adiala Jail has never given a decision on merit, Hamshiya has got relief from the High Court. He said that the founder of PTI was still smiling today and was not surprised, Salman Safdar said that the judge gave the decision and left, the legal requirements were not fulfilled.

He said that the founder of PTI has instructed me to file an appeal in the High Court, he said that the meeting was possible with great difficulty.
