RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, was arrested on Friday outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, where Khan has been incarcerated since August 2023.
Faisal Chaudhry, senior lawyer and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party member, reportedly had a scuffle with law enforcement personnel outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday while trying to meet with detained party members.
According to reports, the clash escalated when police attempted to disperse a gathering of PTI supporters outside the facility.
After the argument, the government did not delay in arresting Faisal Chaudhry. Further actions will be taken in the court against him. The PTI members highly condemned the arrest and termed it as political victimization.
