ISLAMABAD: Qasim Khan, the son of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder Chairman Imran Khan, has said that he and his brothers want to come to Pakistan to meet their father, but the government is deliberately not processing their visas.

According to the details, in his statement released on the social networking website X, Qasim Khan said that Imran Khan has been in solitary confinement for the past 914 days, during which his health has been continuously deteriorating, but he is not being given access to independent and impartial medical facilities.

Expressing concern, he said that his father’s deteriorating health has caused severe mental anguish for the entire family.

Qasim Khan said that depriving a prisoner of proper treatment is tantamount to cruelty, while not allowing children to meet their father falls under the category of collective punishment. He warned that if immediate and serious steps are not taken, the situation could lead to irreparable damage.

He added that he and his brothers only want to know about their father’s well-being and meet him, but due to the lack of visas, this basic right is being taken away from them.

Qasim Khan appealed to international human rights organizations and governments of various countries to take notice of this matter and raise their voices.
