ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has stated Iran-Israel tensions that escalated last night with Iran launching a missile attack on Israel.
The statement issued by the spokesperson of the Foreign Office stated, “Pakistan is watching with deep concern the ongoing developments in the Middle East.” For months, Pakistan has underlined the necessity of international efforts to prevent the expansion of hostilities in the region and for a ceasefire in Gaza, the statement reads.
Furthermore, the Foreign Office statement added that on April 2, Pakistan was informed about the dangers of an attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. Taking into account that these events have serious effects, the spokesman further said that Pakistan had said to stop hostilities in the region and cease-fire in Gaza.

Failing to maintain peace and security, there is now an urgent need to stabilize the situation and restore peace. The spokesperson said that all parties should exercise restraint and move towards reducing tension.
