KARACHI: A First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against an online taxi driver for allegedly harassing a foreign woman, an American citizen, in Karachi.

The FIR was lodged at the Gadap police station on April 10 on the complaint of a foreign woman.

According to the FIR, the victim booked a taxi online from Karachi’s Super Highway. Meanwhile, the victim alleged that the driver started harassing her at gunpoint.

“After his [online taxi driver] actions, I started shouting but to no avail. He then abused me and continued harassing me,” she said.

However, the foreign woman claimed that the FIR was registered based on her complaint. “The police reported the case in Urdu, which I cannot understand,” she said.
