ISLAMABAD: The Office of the District Magistrate, Islamabad, has announced the temporary closure of several popular hiking trails in the federal capital on April 9 and 10, 2026.

The official notification from the Office of the District Magistrate Islamabad states that Trail 2, Trail 3, Trail 4, Trail 5, and the trail behind Saidpur Village will remain closed to the general public during the specified dates.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid visiting these locations and cooperate with the administration to ensure smooth implementation of the directive.

The closure exists because of existing security measures that protect Islamabad during official functions that take place in the city. Law enforcement agencies and relevant departments have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the notification.

Officials announced that the security measures will remain in effect until authorities determine an appropriate time to return to normal operations. Citizens should use official channels to receive updates, which will help them schedule their outdoor activities for maximum convenience.
