ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police has issued an advisory for the Tri-Nations Cricket Series that starts on November 18 and will go on until November 29 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Authorities said the movement of cricket teams between Islamabad and the stadium will have an effect on traffic flow during match days. Over 300 Islamabad Traffic Police officers will be deployed to manage traffic during the series.

The officials warned that the movement of teams may cause slow traffic on the Expressway and Srinagar Highway, especially during peak hours. Commuters have been advised to leave with an extra 15 to 20 minutes of travel time.

The traffic police said it will do its best to ensure motorists face minimal inconvenience. Real-time traffic updates will be provided through Islamabad Police’s official social media pages and FM 92.4.

The authorities urged the people to cooperate with the police and maintain patience during the movement of teams and the timing of matches. Emergencies can be reported on Police Helpline 15 and Traffic Helpline 1915.
