ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has conferred the highest civilian award of Pakistan on Jordanian King Abdullah II.
A grand ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace on Sunday to confer Pakistan’s highest civilian award on Jordanian King Abdullah II.
The ceremony was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, federal ministers and other political and military leaders.
President Asif Ali Zardari awarded King Abdullah II the Nishan-e-Imtiaz.
King Abdullah was given this honor in recognition of his services to strengthen bilateral relations and global and regional peace.
On this occasion, King Abdullah also conferred Jordan’s highest honor on Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari.
It should be noted that King Abdullah of Jordan has returned after completing a two-day visit to Pakistan. During his visit to Pakistan, he met with the top leadership.
