ISLAMABAD: Metro bus service was restored after the protest of Metro bus service employees ended. Rawalpindi Islamabad Metro Bus Service was suspended due to protests against dismissals by employees. Protesters staged a sit-in on the metro track and stopped the bus service, causing severe hardship to citizens.
Female metro employees also participated in the protest, while the protesters shouted slogans and rejected the decision to dismiss.
The protesters said that the contracts of the dismissed employees are valid until 2027, but despite this, they were fired from their jobs. According to them, two months’ salaries have not been paid yet.
Jaffar Express service suspended due to unavoidable reasons
The protesting employees claimed that the contract of the Metro bus service has been given to a new company, after which the current employees are being dismissed.
The protesters demanded that Maryam Nawaz take immediate notice of the matter and provide justice to the employees.
