Islamabad weather forecast: Heavy rainfall and thunderstorms expected in federal capital

ISLAMABAD: The capital city will mainly experience pleasant weather during the day with expected rainfall, gusty wind, and thunderstorms in the evening. However, the temperatures will vary from 27 to 32 degrees Celsius.

The humidity level rages up to 84% with a 90 percent chance of rain, followed by a light breeze in the direction southeast with a speed of 15 to 25 km/h. The air quality remains poor, reaching a high level of pollution, and is very unhealthy for sensitive groups of people.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts heavy rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers at isolated places, in Islamabad, Upper Punjab, and Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Whereas, heavy rainfall with lightning is expected in Northeastern Punjab, and Kashmir from July 28 to 31.

Earlier forecasts from the Met Office indicated rain likely in isolated places in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Saturday, with isolated showers expected in northern Punjab.

Moreover, PMD has also forecasted hot and humid weather in most parts of the country. Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Khuzdar, and Larkana being on the top.
