Islamabad weather forecast: Hot, humid weather expected to continue in city

ISLAMABAD: The capital city mainly experienced hot and humid weather during the day with expected rainfall with gusty wind and thunderstorms in the evening. However, hot and Humid conditions are expected to continue in the federal capital.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts rain, accompanied by gusty winds and thundershowers at isolated places, in Islamabad, Northeast/South Punjab, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeastern Balochistan, Southeastern Sindh July 25to 31, during the night.

Weak Monsoon currents are penetrating central/upper parts of the country. A trough of shallow westerly waves is likely to affect central and southern parts of the country from today evening/night.

Earlier forecasts from the Met Office indicated rain likely in isolated places in Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan on Wednesday, with isolated showers expected in northern Balochistan.

Moreover, PMD has also forecasted mainly hot and humid weather conditions in Gilgit-Baltistan during the daytime. However, rainfall activity is also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan (Diamir, Astore, Skardu, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar) from today till July 27 with occasional gaps.
