ISLAMABAD: Students of different colleges affiliated with the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) have staged a protest outside the education board’s office against irregularities in HSSC 2024 results.

According to the details, the college students on Wednesday gathered in front of the Federal Board in Islamabad and accused the board of alleged irregularities in the recently announced intermediate results.

The demonstrators claimed that 38,000 students have failed the HSSC exams this year due to the wrong marking as many received supplementary results despite performing well.

The students further accused the board of losing exam papers and claimed that despite multiple requests for rechecking, the board has only offered the option of retaking the exams.

Students from Islamabad and Rawalpindi demanded the immediate closure of the Federal Board and called for action against those responsible, chanting slogans against the board’s administration.

Multiple protests across Islamabad on Wednesday voicing their grievances against the concerned authorities choked the capital city with road blockage and traffic disruption.

The protests, involving Utility Store employees, PWD (Public Works Department) workers, traders, and students, brought parts of the city to a standstill, highlighting the growing discontent among different sectors of society.
