RAWALPINDI: Security forces have killed 21 more Khawarij militants in intelligence-based operations in North Waziristan, according to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to the ISPR, the number of Khawarij militants killed in the last 72 hours has reached 48. The Indian-backed Fitna-ul-Khawarij has been dealt a major blow as four key Khawarij leaders have also been killed.
The Khawarij militants killed include Khalid Raza alias Salar, Khawarji Muftun, Khawarji Musa, and Khawarji Imran alias Ayan Halak.
According to the ISPR, the slain Khawarij militants were wanted in several terrorist operations, including the killing of security forces and innocent civilians.
Several Khawarij hideouts were effectively targeted in Miran Shah and its surroundings. After intense exchanges of fire, 21 more Indian-backed Khawarij militants were killed.
According to the ISPR, weapons and ammunition have also been recovered from the slain terrorists. Sanitization operations will continue to eliminate the remaining Khawarij.
As per the ISPR, the security forces are determined to eradicate the scourge of terrorism originating from Pakistan under foreign sponsorship.
