ISLAMABAD: The doors of employment in Europe have opened as Pakistan has succeeded in getting a quota of 10,500 jobs from Italy.

According to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Italy has allotted a quota for jobs to Pakistan for the next three years.

For the next three years, 3,500 Pakistanis will go to Italy for employment every year.

1,500 will go to Italy on a seasonal quota and 2,000 on a non-seasonal quota.

Pakistan has been allotted a quota in the shipbreaking, hospitality, healthcare, and agriculture sectors.

According to the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, Pakistanis will get employment in the fields of welding, technicians, chefs, waiters, housekeeping, nursing, medical technicians, and agriculture.

Italy is the first country in Europe to allocate a quota for jobs for Pakistan.

Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain says that the second meeting of the Pakistan-Italy Joint Working Group will be held in Islamabad in February 2026.

Italy’s allocation of job quotas for Pakistan is an important milestone.

He further said that the government is continuously working to provide decent employment to its workers globally.

Overseas Pakistanis are playing the role of ambassadors of Pakistan around the world and the backbone of the national economy. Soon, the doors of more European countries will open for the Pakistani workforce.
