KARACHI: Kamran Khan, a senior journalist and President of a private media group has been barred from flying abroad and offloaded from a Dubai-bond flight at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Monday night.
According to the initial details, Kamran Khan was fleeing to Dubai to superhead an upcoming digital media company, reportedly owned by property tycoon Malik Riaz.
As per details available with Daily Ausaf, several prominent journalists and media personalities have already joined Malik Riaz’s digital media project, based in Dubai.
Earlier, Malik Riaz launched the Urdu language TV channel, Aap News, which suspended its operations on April 11, 2022, due to unavoidable legal and technical issues.
Subsequently, Riaz owned another English-language television channel, Indus News was also closed over legal and technical problems on Sep 14, 2021.
