PESHAWAR: The Jamiyat Ulema Islam (JUI-F) has announced a nationwide protest tomorrow against the assassination of Maulana Muhammad Idrees.

JUI-F has announced a nationwide protest tomorrow against the martyrdom of its provincial patron, Maulana Muhammad Idrees.

Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman said How long will we continue to hold funerals? The state has failed to protect its citizens.

He raised the question: if the government cannot provide security for the people, why does it continue to exist?

He further announced that demonstrations will be held in all districts of the country tomorrow against the unrest, and that effective measures will be demanded of the government.

Senator Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman has said that the clerics are the well-wishers of the state, but they are being continuously targeted, which is worrying.

He alleged that the Form 47 government has been in power in the province for the past thirteen years and has failed to establish peace.

He said that the government itself cannot maintain peace but is waging a campaign against the federation.

Senator Atta-ur-Rehman said that at present, the rule of terrorists is visible in the province, not the government, while the current provincial government has become the enemy of the nation.

He announced that the protest to be held tomorrow will not only be against unrest but also against the provincial and federal governments.
