Karachi announce traffic diversion plan for Youm-e-Wiladat Hazrat Ali (R.A) procession

KARACHI: In a recent development, the Karachi Traffic Police have announced a diversion plan of traffic for the upcoming Youm-e-Wiladat Hazrat Ali (R.A) procession celebrated on 13 Rajab.

The procession is set to commence at 4 PM, starting from Tibet Centre and concluding at Soldier Bazar, completely barring several key areas.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, the alternative route has been provided by the police, as MA Jinnah Road will be completely blocked from Tibet Centre to Guru Mandir, and other adjoining streets, while Shahrah-e-Qaideen will be blocked from Khudadad farther towards Saddar, but not allowing for any traffic to cross from Khudadad to Saddar.

Traffic going towards Tower along Bahadur Yar Jang Road is advised to take Soldier Bazar No 1 Signal, Coast Guard, and Anklesaria Hospital Signal as alternative routes.

Similarly, commuters heading towards Naumaish Chowrangi or MA Jinnah Road should take a diversion through Ayesha Aziz Chowrangi to PP Chowrangi. For those coming from Society Light Signal, it is suggested that they use the route from the Khudadad Colony Bridge to Empress Market.

Those traveling from Fresco to Naumaish Chowrangi should either use the Eidgah Chowk alternate route via Jubilee and Nishtar Road or, alternatively, proceed from Tibet Centre to Regal Chowk.

Alternative Routes for Other Areas

Moreover, traffic police have also provided alternative routes for other areas. Traffic from Fawara Chowk to Garden Nishtar Road must proceed towards Abdullah Haroon Road. Drivers coming from Paradise Signal may take either left for Passport Office or right for Empress Market.
