KARACHI: The Karachi Police have issued a traffic alert for the vehicle amid the Independence Day and “Marka-e-Haq” event taking place at the National Bank Stadium this evening.
The event will start at 06 pm in the evening with the expectation of people coming from 5:00 pm on all routes leading to the venue.
Special parking arrangements have been made by the Karachi police amid the event, and cars with the required parking stickers will be allowed to enter the National Stadium via Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 11.
Residents have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel between the Civic Centre and National Stadium during these hours.
However, citizens travelling from District South and East, as well as Malir, may go to the China Ground via Karsaz, New Town, and Rashid Minhas Road.
In terms of other routes, traffic police have recommended commuters heading to Sharea Faisal via Liaquatabad and the Hassan Square overpass to take University Road and Shaheed-e-Millat Road instead.
Those heading to Liaquatabad from Karsaz should use the Rashid Minhas Road and Nipa. People who want to get to Sharea Faisal from the Expo Centre should use Shaheed-e-Millat Road.
Moreover, buses, minibuses, and other commercial vehicles will be redirected via Karsaz, Drigh Road, Millennium Mall, Expo Centre, and New Town.
Heavy traffic would be restricted from Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No. 10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road.
