KARACHI: At least 31 Karachi residents have died while resisting robberies so far in 2025 as the latest victim of armed robbers is a man from the city’s Korangi area.
According to police, a man who was shot during an attempted robbery in Zaman Town area of Korangi on Tuesday night succumbed to his injuries at Jinnah Hospital.
The victim during the incident was identified as Irfan, who was shot in the leg and was undergoing treatment at the hospital. Police said that Irfan was provided medical assistance at the hospital last night and was later discharged.
However, his condition deteriorated, and he was taken to the hospital again, where he died during treatment.
With this incident, the total number of people killed in robbery attempts in Karachi this year has reached 31.
Earlier on April 9, a man was killed by robbers for resisting robbers in Landhi area of Karachi.
A 22-year-old youth has been identified as Manzoor in an attempted robbery in the Moinabad area of Landhi, Karachi. According to a police report, three robbers tried to snatch valuables from the victim and shot him when he resisted.
