KARACHI: The Colombo-bound FlyDubai flight made an emergency landing at the Jinnah International Airport Karachi on Thursday morning after a female passenger’s health suddenly worsened mid-air.
According to sources, the flight was going to Colombo from Dubai, when the health of the woman passenger worsened after a heart attack.
The pilot of the flight requested an emergency landing at the Karachi airport from the Air Traffic Controller (ATC). After getting clearance, the flight made an emergency landing at the Karachi airport.
However, the Sri Lankan woman, identified as 57-year-old Palawini, didn’t make it. The medical team during the checkup found the passenger that she died due to cardiac arrest., CAA sources said.
The federal health officer issued the death certificate for the passenger and later plane departed for Colombo with the deceased’s body.
