Peoples Bus Service suspended on these routes in Karachi on 9, 10 Muharram

KARACHI: The Peoples Bus Service will suspend its operations on specific routes during 9 and 10 Muharram in the provincial capital of Sindh.

As per the announcement, the operations of Peoples Bus Service will be halted across Karachi, while the only route from Malir Halt to Super Highway will be operated during these days.

On Friday, Karachi Traffic Police issued the traffic plan for Muharram 8, 9, and 10 which fall on July 15, 16, and 17 (Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday) to facilitate the smooth movement of the Ashura processions.

As per details, the central procession of Muharram would be taken out from Nishtar Park which would pass through the designated routes, and conclude at the Hussainia Iranian Imambargah. 

On Muharram 9 (Tuesday), a procession will be taken out from Martin Road Imambargah, Liaquatabad at 9 am. It will reach Nishtar Park at 12 pm, where a Majlis will be held.

M.A. Jinnah will remain closed from Guru Mandir to Tower. For alternate routes, citizens coming from Nazimabad can reach their destination through Lasbela Chowk towards Nishtar Road via Garden. Those coming from Liaquatabad via Lisbela Chowk will be diverted toward Central Jail from Teen Hatti.

Vehicles going to PP Chowrangi from Hasan Square should take Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal (Quaidin Highway) and Jail Flyover.
