KARACHI: In the southern port city of Karachi, a People’s Pink Bus Service bus caught fire, injuring several people in a stampede.
The pink bus, which travels on Route No. 1 and is located close to PAF Base Faisal, caught fire while it was carrying people.
According to reports, the blaze started in the blower of the bus on the backside. It was extinguished by the staff of the Peoples Red Bus when they passed by.
Women were racing to escape the bus in a hurry to save their lives when the fire broke out, resulting in a stampede. There were no confirmed fatalities from the stampede, however, several women were hurt when they tumbled to the ground.
