KARACHI: A blaze erupted yet again at the Rampa Plaza on M.A Jinnah Road, Karachi, on Thursday morning. This incident occurred for the second time after the fire that erupted on December 3.

The rescue officials note that the fire department of the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) rushed to the spot to extinguish the flames.

Upon reaching the scene, the fire brigade officials informed that the fire had started on the second floor of the plaza, though the cause is unknown and under investigation.

Thanks to the quick action of firefighters, the blaze was put out before it could spread any further. Two fire brigades were engaged to control the fire, and there have been no casualties reported.

Earlier, the fire broke out on December 3 which was quite damaging, igniting two floors of the plaza plus damaging portions of two other floors. Several shops, cabins, and finally, warehouses were destroyed in that inferno.

Miraculously, nobody was injured. After eight hours of frantic firefighting operations, the fire was ultimately doused. The recurrence of the fires at Rampa Plaza poses serious concerns about safety and security measures in the building.
