PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has declared the election of the Chief Minister as unconstitutional. The opposition has announced to challenge the election of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in court.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said in his statement that until the resignation of Ali Amin Gandapur is accepted, the election of the Chief Minister will be considered unconstitutional. While the opposition leader announced to challenge the election of Sohail Afridi in court on Tuesday.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that he is not satisfied with the resignation of Ali Amin Gandapur. Who will notify the new Chief Minister? Satisfaction is my constitutional right and Ali Amin will come to me on Wednesday. I will make him tea and the resignation will also be accepted.
It should be noted that the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while objecting to the resignation of Ali Amin Gandapur, had said that my office has received two copies of your resignations. And the signatures on the copies of your resignations are not the same.
On the other hand, the opposition leader of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Dr. Ibadullah, said that the opposition will go to court tomorrow against the election of the Chief Minister. We were thinking till yesterday that the resignation was accepted. And that is why the candidates submitted their papers.
He said that the election of the Chief Minister is unconstitutional. His lawyers are saying that it is right. But we are saying that it is wrong.
It should be noted that Muhammad Sohail Afridi has been elected the new Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. While the opposition walked out of the assembly.
