PESHAWAR: The Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced strict action against owners of unregistered vehicles, motorcycles and those who do not pay token tax.
A statement issued by the Excise Department said that a special crackdown has been launched against unregistered vehicles and tax defaulting motorcycles across the province.
According to officials, the owners of all such vehicles and motorcycles that are not yet registered or whose token tax dues have not been paid should immediately complete their documents to avoid legal action.
The Excise Department clarified that citizens should ensure timely registration of their vehicles and motorcycles and payment of token tax, otherwise they may face heavy fines, confiscation of vehicles and other strict legal measures.
The administration says that such measures will help improve traffic records, prevent crime, and maintain complete vehicle data.
