PESHAWAR: Adviser to KP Chief Minister on Information Barrister Saif on Monday said that the federal government’s proposals to regularize non-customs paid (NCP) vehicles in former tribal areas and Malakand by the KP government. Nevertheless, there is No response from the centre.

“More than a month has passed, and we are still waiting for a response,” he said, adding that these vehicles have also been linked to terrorist activities.

“Progress can only happen after the federal government accepts these proposals,” asserted Barrister Saif.

He noted that the registration of these vehicles would generate revenue for the government and help law enforcement agencies in tracking criminals in case of terrorist incidents.

It is also proposed to fix the registration fee for 800 cc vehicles at Rs 15,000 and for 2500 cc vehicles at over Rs 100,000.
