KP govt increases public sector employees’ salary; Details inside

PESHAWAR: The KP government approved a 25 percent raise in the salaries of its public sector employees. The order will be functional from July 1.

The KP government approved ad-hoc relief allowance and the Provincial Finance Department has issued a notification in this regard approved by the provincial cabinet through a circulation summary.

This initiative is taken by the provincial government to align with the federal government’s and other provinces’ recent salary increases after the approval of the annual budget.

Under this development, the employees from Grade-1 to Grade-16 would get a 25 percent increase in their basic salaries. The Officers from Grade-17 to Grade-22 would receive a 20% increase.

Initially, the KP budget had allocated a 10% salary increase. However, following adjustments similar in other provinces and at the federal level, the increase has been raised to 25 percent. The provincial assembly will amend the Finance Bill 2024 to formalize this developmental change.

How much salary increase for KP govt employees

In a recent development, the provincial government has notified the hike of KP govt employees’ salaries by 25 pc.

Under this development, the employees from Grade-1 to Grade-16 would get a 25 percent increase in their basic salaries. The Officers from Grade-17 to Grade-22 would receive a 20% increase.
