KP govt set to provide free land for families of martyrs

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to allocate free plots to the families of personnel who were martyred in the line of duty.

Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur announced that this initiative is designed to provide economic support to the families of fallen members of the police, rescue services, and other provincial departments.

In a Housing Department meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, it was decided that the scheme would also extend to the heirs of martyrs from the Pakistan Army and the Frontier Corps (FC).

Plots will be distributed in Hangu, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swat, and Abbottabad.

CM Gandapur underscored the significance of this initiative, stating, ‘The sacrifices made by the martyrs for our secure future cannot be repaid in any way’.

Moreover, he emphasized that the main goal is to ensure the economic stability of families who have lost their loved ones in service.
