KP govt to form commission to probe May 9 Radio Pakistan incident

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to formation of a commission to probe the May 9 Radio Pakistan incident.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Meena Khan Afridi and Special Assistant Shafi Jan held a joint press conference on Sunday in Peshawar.

He added that in the first meeting of the cabinet, approval will be given to set up a commission to investigate the Radio Pakistan incident so that the facts can be brought to the fore.

Meena Khan said that yesterday Ikhtiar Wali made baseless allegations against Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, which are complete lies and propaganda.

Meena Khan Afridi said that all political tactics have failed, so Sohail Afridi has constitutionally become the Chief Minister.

He clarified that Sohail Afridi was present in Peshawar on May 9, but a fabricated narrative is being prepared against him to damage his reputation.

Special Assistant Shafi Jan said on this occasion that Ikhtiar Wali tried to mislead the public by broadcasting fake videos on TV channels.

He said that the facts are being distorted, and those who snatched our seats are no longer able to tolerate Sohail Afridi’s success.

Shafi Jan further said that the video of Sohail Afridi that was aired yesterday is actually from March 16, 2023, and has nothing to do with the events of May 9.

He alleged that Sohail Afridi’s meeting with the founder of PTI is also being deliberately stopped.

Meena Khan Afridi said that May 9 was actually a trap for the PTI, and now that Sohail Afridi has become the Chief Minister, more ministers will be added to the cabinet after meeting the founder of PTI.
