Lahore-Islamabad Motorway reopens amid protest disruptions

LAHORE: Lahore to Islamabad Motorway has been opened for all types of traffic, here on Sunday.

According to Motorway Police sources, citizens can go to Islamabad Motorway from Abu Sabo and Thokar Niaz Baig, Motorway M2 and 3 from Lahore are open for traffic.

On the other hand, in view of the protest of a religious party, roads have been blocked by placing containers at many places in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, due to which citizens are facing severe difficulties in transportation.

Metro bus service in Rawalpindi and Islamabad has also been suspended for three days, all hotels in Faizabad have been sealed, due to which business and commercial activities have been suspended.

On the other hand, mobile phone and cellular internet service has been partially restored in Islamabad.
