LAHORE: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast warm weather for most parts of the country, with rain expected in Punjab.
Yesterday, temperatures reached 47 degrees Celsius in Nokundi, 46 degrees Celsius in Bahawalpur and Dalbandin, and 45 degrees Celsius in Sibi, Dadu, Bhakkar, and Jacobabad.
On Friday, the Met Department said the monsoon season in the country is expected to commence from July 3 onwards. Chief Meteorologist Shahid Abbas highlighted that the monsoon rains will not only bring relief from the intense heat but also lower the overall temperature across the region.
Currently, the country is experiencing a mix of cloudy and sunny weather throughout the day, a pattern expected to persist in the coming days.
The sky over Lahore is currently overcast with a high probability of rain. The weather is expected to be pleasant throughout the day. The morning has seen cloudy skies and a cool breeze, making the atmosphere comfortable.
